Andrew Lee is a Leicester based performance poet who specialises in awkward stage presence, mild humour and metaphor. Andrew has played in over seven venues in his adopted hometown as well as taking on the role of the guiding star for a Nativity based production for the BBC.
A ‘Mix it up Midlands’ Slam runner up, Andrew is yet to earn the title of slam champion, but he’s trying.
Founder of the ‘quite good’ event ‘Heard of Mouth’ Andrew invites fellow performers to join him in an evening of wordplay for a few hours every so often on a school night. Andrew pays attention, watches so he can listen and delivers honest, intrusive performances to anybody close enough to him. He is unconcerned with what poetry is, or, is not.
